Obito Uchiha

Obito

Obito Uchiha (うちはオビト, Uchiha Obito) also known as Shaggy (三種の神器, Sanshu no Jingi) was a chūnin of Konohagakure who was believed to have died during the Third Shinobi World War, but in truth survived with the help of Madara Uchiha. Distraught by the death of the girl he loved, he became a missing-nin and dedicated his life to ending world conflict, using Madara's identity as well the alias Tobi (トビ, Tobi). For years, Obito manipulated Akatsuki from the shadows to further his ambitions before eventually going public with his agenda and starting the Fourth Shinobi World War. Obito was revived by Dr. Eggman in a plot to conquer the world. He had a change of heart towards Soo-Won's Empire control by Eggman, however, and ended up sacrificing his life to save the very world he sought to let Eggman conquer. He is the Deceased member of the Uchiha. He is one of the Protagonists in Mega Man ZX Shippuden

Appearence[]

As a child, Obito had short, spiky, black hair and black eyes. He wore a long sleeved blue uniform with metal plating on the part that reached the back of his hands, as well as a blue jacket with an orange collar and trimmings. The jacket was fastened to the rest of the outfit by two buttons on the collar, and had the Uchiha clan crest at the back. He also wore a white belt, shinobi sandals, the standard Konoha dark blue forehead protector, and a pair of goggles with orange lenses connected to ear protectors. During the battle of Kannabi Bridge, Obito gave his left eye to Kakashi as a parting gift. After he was retrieved from Kusagakure, Madara replaced his destroyed right side with Hashirama's artificial body, though the right side of his face remained heavily scarred in a manner similar to deeply-aged wrinkles. During his rehabilitation, Obito grew his hair out, with the shape similar to that of Madara's. By the time of the Nine-Tails' attack, he cut his hair back to a shorter length and wore a long hooded black cloak and a yellow-orange mask with a pattern that resembled his facial scar. During his first meetings with Itachi and Kisame, Obito was seen with Madara's hairstyle, and wore a mask with a black flame pattern when meeting the former. While controlling Kirigakure and meeting Kisame, he wore a dark blue kimono and had much of his body, save his right arm and hand, wrapped in gauze. As Tobi, Obito wore an orange mask with spiral pattern that focused on his right eye, reminiscent of when Guruguru encased him. Under his Akatsuki cloak, he wore a black long-sleeve top that also covered his neck and chin, a pair of black gloves, and a pair of dark-coloured pants along with standard sandals and white stirrups. On his waist, he wore a thick black belt with armour-like metal plates attached to it; he had the same metal plates on his shoulders and wore a green scarf prior to becoming Deidara's partner. Obito had blue (black in the manga) nail polish on his fingers and toes, and wore Sasori's purple ring, which bears the kanji for "jewel" or "sphere" (玉, gyoku), on his left thumb. After his previous mask was destroyed by Konan and implanted Madara's left Rinnegan, Obito began wearing a new mask, which was white with a purple tint and covered the entire upper half of his head. The mask's design resembled a combination of the Sharingan and Rinnegan, consisting of a ripple pattern with three tomoe around the centre, two of which acted as the mask's eye-holes. He noted to Naruto that this new mask had been specifically designed for combat, making it very durable. He also dons an outfit similar to the Uchiha clan's traditional clothing during the Warring States Period. This attire includes a pair of black pants and gloves, with a white, presumed form-fitting shirt (black in the anime prior to episode 325) underneath. Over this he wears a purple, high-collared, long sleeve mantle that splits down the lower half and has the Uchiha crest on the back. Around his waist he wears a simple, light-purple obi and a belt. Strapped to his back, he carried Madara's gunbai, now purple with black trimmings and black tomoe, connected to a black chain that ran up his right sleeve. During his first meeting with Madara after his reincarnation, he detached the gunbai from the chain and returned it to Madara. During his first meeting with Madara after his reincarnation, he detached the gunbai from the chain and returned it to Madara. When merging with Paul Gekko and the Ten Tails, It's Fusion Form is Chimeratech Deliora. He reverts to his former appearance after the Ten-Tails is removed from his body, though his hair remains white.

Abilities[]

During his time as a Konoha ninja, Obito's skills were average at best, struggling to match his classmates from the Academy and being unable to catch up with Kakashi's development. What he lacked in skill, though, he made up for in determination, as he would train himself for weeks and months at a time to improve himself, which eventually enabled him to become a chūnin. Despite his poor performance, Madara saw great potential in Obito and for that reason selected him as his disciple. Madara's hopes were proven accurate, as under his tutelage, Obito dramatically improved his abilities to the point where he became a near-mirror image of Madara in his prime.

Taijutsu[]

As a child, Obito was fairly average with taijutsu, displaying ordinary skill while sparring against Kakashi upon joining Team Minato. After his rehabilitation with Madara, his skill grew enough to subdue and kill multiple Kiri-Anbu. While encased in Tobi the Zetsu after watching Rin die, Obito's strength was fueled by his anger to the point of uplifting the ground with a single footstep, but he was able to maintain his focus in his fit of rage. In his adulthood, he was shown able to fight on par with Kakashi, who is a taijutsu master, while controlling the exact outcome of the fight.

Ninjutsu[]

Obito learned from Madara how to perform a variety of different types of ninjutsu: he could create barrier ninjutsu, using the Uchiha Flame Formation to protect the Demonic Statue he could sense chakra, allowing him to predict attacks and locate others from great distances, even in different dimensions; he could perform fūinjutsu strong enough to seal the Ten-Tails; he had at least a limited ability to absorb chakra, taking an opponent's chakra(s) for his own use.

Nature Transformation[]

As a member of the Uchiha clan, Obito has a natural aptitude for Fire Release techniques, and at an early age could perform the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique. The size and strength of his flames increase in his adulthood, and through combination with his Mangekyō Sharingan he can perform Fire Release: Blast Wave Wild Dance which matched the size of Madara's jutsu. He is also seen performing Earth Release jutsu on occasion, though he exclusively does so in order to burrow and move underground, letting him augment the battlefield from below or sneak up on opponents. With the of White Zetsu matter that his replacement limbs are made of, Obito can perform Wood Release, a combination of Earth and Water Release. Instinctively he is able to form branches and roots to bind, or skewer opponents. Because the White Zetsu material is partly derived from the DNA of Hashirama Senju, Obito is able to control the Ten-Tails when he is connected to its body. Upon gaining the power of the Ten-Tails and access to the Truth-Seeking Ball, Obito became able to use all five basic elements, as well as Yin and Yang Releases.

Bukijutsu[]

Like many Uchiha, Obito was trained in shurikenjutsu, allowing him to throw shuriken with precision for offence and defence. When Madara died, a number of weapons were left to Obito which he has used at different times over the years. Several of these weapons he keeps stored within Kamui's dimension so that he can access them anywhere and fire them at opponents; he is seen using giant shuriken and chakra receivers – fashioned into giant restraining stakes – for the latter purpose. When he fought Minato during the attack on Konoha, he used a long chain attached to braces on his wrists that, when used in conjunction with his intangibility, enabled him to harmlessly pass through his opponent before solidifying to restrain him with the trailing chain. Around the time of the Uchiha Massacre, Obito carried a sword at his waist. During the Fourth Shinobi World War he wields Madara's iconic gunbai, using it both as a shield and as a sort of flail for attack. He also uses chakra receivers skilfully to combat Kakashi's two kunai in a taijutsu fight.> The gunbai can generate wind to reflect attacks.

Chaos Emerald Magic[]

  • Guardian Obito: Guardian Obito is the Super State of Obito Uchiha, achieved by harnessing the power of the seven Chaos Emeralds. This Transformation causes it Appearance to Change. His Super State Resembles the Guardian Dragon from Panzer Dragoon Series with grey-blue metal armour-plating and hands being turned into Giant pair of Wings.

Background[]

Early life[]

Obito grew up not knowing who his parents were, a sad upbringing which led him to dream of one day becoming the Hokage so that the people of the village would acknowledge his existence. Obito arrived late for his enrollment in the Academy, but was relieved when Rin Nohara handed him his orientation-documents. He eventually graduated at the age of 9 and was placed in Team Minato with Rin and Kakashi Hatake under the leadership of Minato Namikaze. For their final test to become genin, Minato tasked his potential students with taking one of two bells from him in combat. After failing to take a bell on his own and seeing that Minato's skill was well above their own, Obito agreed to work with his team to get the bells. Ultimately, Minato passed all three of them as they succeeded in the real test: showing team-work. The team later took part in the Chūnin Exams, during which Obito arrived late for the second test in the Forest of Death, having stopped to help an elderly woman. When Team Minato ran across an enemy team, Obito attempted to impress Rin with the Uchiha clan's fire technique, but ended up choking on the candy the elderly woman had given him and was soon defeated by Might Guy. He trained extensively between the second and third exams and told Rin his dream of becoming Hokage; however, he was eliminated in another bout with Guy, who was then beaten by Kakashi, allowing him to rise to the rank of chūnin. Obito did attain the rank some years later at the age of 11. During the Third Shinobi World War, Kakashi was placed in charge of the team for a mission to destroy the Kannabi Bridge, which would hinder Iwagakure from using Kusagakure as a relief point. Before beginning the mission, Minato and Rin gave gifts to Kakashi to celebrate his promotion to jōnin, though Obito had forgotten, thus straining an already poor relationship. Minato would soon be called to the front lines, leaving the team to carry on the mission alone. The three were then discovered by Iwa-nin and Rin was captured. Kakashi elected to abandon Rin, believing it was more important to finish the mission before concerning themselves with her safety. Obito became enraged at the idea and insisted that they focus on her rescue. When Kakashi refused, Obito left on his own, remarking that Kakashi was worse than trash for abandoning his friends. Obito located the cave the Iwa-nin were using as a hideout, but before he could make much progress, he was found and attacked by a camouflaged Taiseki. Having a change of heart because of Obito's parting words, Kakashi arrived and saved Obito, shielding him from Taiseki's attack and losing his left eye in the process. To save his team-mate, Obito awakened his Sharingan for the first time, allowing him to see through Taiseki's camouflage and kill him. The two found and released Rin from her restraints, prompting Kakkō to bring the cave down around them. As they made their escape, Kakashi's limited vision greatly hindered him, and when Obito noticed he was about to be crushed by a falling boulder in his blind spot, he pushed him out of the way and became trapped under the rubble in his place, crushing the right half of his body. With no way to escape, Obito accepted his fate and made an offering: to give Kakashi his left Sharingan as an apology for forgetting to get him a present earlier. Rin performed the transplant and once the procedure was finished, Kakashi used his new Sharingan to kill Kakkō. The Iwa reinforcements quickly began to further compress the rubble, forcing Kakashi and Rin to leave Obito behind. As the rocks tightened around him, Obito lamented that he had finally became friends with Kakashi and was unable to confess his feelings to Rin. Minato rescued Kakashi and Rin, and Obito was believed dead, his name marked on Konoha's memorial. In actuality, Obito was rescued by an elderly Madara Uchiha, who found the younger Uchiha when the cave-in brought him to one of the tunnels leading to Mountains' Graveyard. Though his Sharingan was miraculously unharmed, the entire right side of his body from the neck down was completely destroyed, prompting Madara to reconstruct his body using Hashirama's artificial body, while secretly placing a cursed seal on Obito's heart to restrict certain actions, such as committing suicide. Telling Obito that he now owed him his life, Obito instead declared that he wanted to return to Konoha and be with his friends. Madara informed him that his new body would prevent him from becoming a shinobi again, and that in the end it wouldn't matter. Madara preached about the harsh nature of reality and how he had a plan to change the world. Still unconvinced, but otherwise unable to leave, Obito remained beneath Mountains' Graveyard to recuperate. While undergoing rehabilitation to use his new limbs, he met and befriended White Zetsu and another spiral-faced Zetsu he called Guruguru. As Obito was finally getting used to his new limbs, White Zetsu alerted him to the fact that Kakashi and Rin were surrounded by Kirigakure-nin and in danger. Obito tried to punch through the boulder blocking the exit, but destroyed his right arm in the process. Guruguru then encased Obito with his body and used the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path's power to destroy the boulder. As Obito prepared to leave, he told Madara he had no intention of returning, but thanked him for saving his life. Madara in turn told him that he would return willingly and thank him truthfully. Using Guruguru to locate his friends, he learned that Minato was once again absent. On his way, Obito's left eye socket caught a glimpse of what his left eye was actually seeing, but dismissed it as a panic thought. Upon reaching the battlefield, he was shocked to see Kakashi had impaled Rin through the heart with his Chidori. As Rin died before both of them, their Sharingan matured into Mangekyō Sharingan and Kakashi passed out quickly afterwards. Enraged at Rin's death, Obito responded by using a combination of his newly-awakened Kamui and Wood Release abilities to slaughter all of the Kiri-nin. Ignoring Kakashi completely, Obito cradled Rin's lifeless body and, with Madara's words still echoing in his mind, vowed that he would create a world where they could be together again. With new conviction, Obito returned to Mountains' Graveyard and agreed with Madara's conclusion that the reality they lived in was worthless and should be destroyed. He vowed he would create a new reality where he, Rin, and Kakashi would be together again. Pleased, Madara told Obito the details of the Eye of the Moon Plan, the secrets of the Demonic Statue and the role Nagato would play with his Rinnegan. He would go on to teach Obito much of his skills and knowledge, including Uchiha kinjutsu, Yin–Yang Release and the Six Paths Technique. Before passing, Madara seemingly created Black Zetsu by pouring his will into White Zetsu and also left part of his will in the chakra receivers extending from the Demonic Statue's navel. Disconnecting himself from the statue, Madara told Obito that until the day he was revived, Obito would be Madara Uchiha and must work to bring the Eye of the Moon Plan to completion.

The Many Adventures of Paul Gekko[]

Due to being part of the Freedom Civil War, Obito serves as the spiritual guider that guides the Atlantic Pirates but also the Main Antagonist, who is able to collect the all of the Tailed Beasts to complete Project Tsuki no Me. Eventually, He redeemed himself by letting Paul Gekko defeat his great grandmother, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki with the help of the members of the Atlantis Family.

Disconnecting himself from the statue, Madara told Obito that until the day he was revived, Obito would be Madara Uchiha and must work to bring the Eye of the Moon Plan to completion.

Minato soon afterwards arrived to help in the village's defence. Before Minato could contribute much or even tell anyone what had happened, Obito located him and tried to use Kamui to send him away and prevent further interference. Minato was able to escape with his Flying Thunder God Technique, but Obito pursued him. Minato did not recognise Obito as they fought, instead suspecting he was Madara Uchiha. He initially struggled to successfully strike Obito but, after several failed attacks, Minato finally hit him with a Rasengan and branded him with a Flying Thunder God seal, allowing him to teleport to Obito whenever he wanted. He then used a Contract Seal on Obito to release the Nine-Tails from his control. Wounded and deprived of his best weapon, Obito fled.

Minato gave his life to save the village by sealing the Nine-Tails into his son, and thus never had the chance to inform anyone of Obito's involvement. Konoha's leadership nevertheless suspected an Uchiha's involvement, and to that end placed all members of the clan under heavy scrutiny. Years later in the anime, Obito attacked the Fire Daimyō's convoy en route to Konoha, placing everyone in a genjutsu and killing Tenma Izumo, but swiftly retreats after sensing Kakashi approaching. Years later, the Uchiha, as a result of this mistreatment, began plotting a coup d'état. Obito returned to the village with the intention of exacerbating the conflict, but was discovered by Itachi Uchiha. Believing Obito was Madara, Itachi asked for his help in wiping out the Uchiha clan, offering revenge against the Uchiha for their treatment of Madara decades earlier in exchange for Obito's agreement to spare the village.

Obito accepted and offered Itachi a position in Akatsuki. In the anime, during the night of the massacre, Obito took several Uchiha corpses in order to extract their Sharingan for his own use. Obito also met with Danzō Shimura around this time, although the circumstances of this meeting are unknown. Eventually, Obito hid himself deeper into the shadows by taking on the alias of "Tobi", a happy-go-lucky idiot and apparent subordinate of Zetsu.
